Why nothing is sent automatically on LinkedIn or X

Agents write drafts. On LinkedIn and X you send each message yourself, which keeps your accounts safe.

Updated

Buyerhint never sends messages, replies, comments, connection requests or DMs from your LinkedIn or X account, and there are no bulk DMs. Agents write the draft. You read it, edit it if you want, and send it yourself.

Why

  • LinkedIn's rules on third-party software prohibit tools that scrape or automate activity on the site, and LinkedIn enforces them. Accounts get restricted, and in 2025 and 2026 LinkedIn removed the company pages of several automation vendors.
  • X's automation rules don't allow automated replies to people who haven't asked for them, or to accounts found through a keyword search.
  • A restricted account costs a founder far more than the minute it takes to paste a message.

What the agents do

  • Find the person and show the public activity that made them relevant.
  • Write a draft for the channel you pick, referring to what they actually did.
  • Keep the draft, its status and the person together, so you can see who you have contacted.

After you send a message yourself, mark the draft as sent so your results stay accurate.

Email works differently

Email doesn't run through your social accounts, so Buyerhint can send it for you. Each email waits in the approval queue until you approve it, and every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Before you send, we check your domain's SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, which Gmail and Yahoo require from bulk senders.

Creator posts

Creators publish from their own accounts, by hand. Campaigns never ask them to like, quote or reply to each other. See how creator campaigns work.
