Buyerhint works with data people have made public and work data from a licensed business contact database, and it keeps the source of every record so anyone can find out where their data came from.
Sources we use
- Public posts and profiles on X, Reddit, Hacker News, GitHub and Bluesky: who replied to, liked, followed, quoted or mentioned an account or keyword you track.
- LinkedIn, only through CSV files you import yourself or LinkedIn's official APIs.
- Public company information, such as a company's website, size and country.
- Work profiles (name, title, company, country and LinkedIn link) from Apollo, a licensed business contact database, when you run the prospecting agent.
- Work email addresses, found through email-finding providers or Apollo when you ask for one, and kept only when the address is verified.
- Visits to your own website, if you add our tracking snippet.
- People you add by hand or import from a CSV file.
What we never collect
- Profiles that are hidden, private or restricted. If a profile isn't visible to everyone, we skip it.
- LinkedIn data gathered by scraping or browser automation.
- The identity of individual website visitors in the EU. There, visits are matched to companies only.
- Anyone who has opted out. Once someone opts out, no workspace can add them again.
Every record keeps its source
Each person record stores where it came from (for example X, or a CSV import), a link to the public page when there is one, and the date it was collected. You see this on every person, and the person can ask us what we hold about them and where it came from.
Only what's needed
We keep what's needed to find and contact a good-fit person: name, job title, company, country, public profile links, the public activity that made them relevant, and a verified work email when you ask for one.
