How it's scored
Six checks add up to 100. They're rules of thumb for first emails to people who don't know you, not a spam-filter simulator.
- Length 25 points
- Phones show roughly the first 35 to 45 characters. Two to seven words fit and still give a reason to open.
- Doesn't read like a pitch 20 points
- Words like demo, partnership, opportunity or solution mark it as a sales email. A subject that reads like a note from a colleague gets opened.
- Spam words 20 points
- Free, guarantee, act now, limited time, urgent, risk-free and similar cost points with readers and with filters.
- Capitals, punctuation and emoji 15 points
- Shouting in capitals, exclamation marks, emoji and stacked question marks look like marketing.
- No fake reply 10 points
- "Re:" or "Fwd:" on a first email fakes a conversation. US law (CAN-SPAM) bans misleading subject lines.
- Merge tags 10 points
- A leftover {first_name} or [Company] shows the email came from a list.
Your input is scored in your browser. It's sent to us only when you ask for a share link or the report by email, and we don't store the text itself. A share link carries only the tool and the score.

Email people who already raised their hand
Buyerhint finds people who publicly ask about the problem you solve, finds and verifies their work email, and drafts the first message for you to send.
