Ideal customer profile template
Write down who you sell to on one page: the buyer, the company, what makes them need you now, and where to find them. Copy it into your docs when you're done. Free, no sign-in.
Fill in the fields. The one-pager builds itself, and the checks show what's still vague.
Buyerhint scores every lead against your ideal customer profile and shows which criteria each person matched. How lead scoring works
How it's scored
Six checks add up to 100. A profile you can act on names a person, says when they need you and where they talk, and rules people out.
- A person, not a market 20 points
- A role who signs off or uses it daily. "Startups" or "businesses" is a market, not a buyer.
- Buying triggers 20 points
- Events right before they need you: a hire, a funding round, a public complaint. Two or more get full points.
- Company type and size 15 points
- The kind of company and a size range in people.
- The problem, in their words 15 points
- What they'd type into a search box or say in a post.
- Where to find them 15 points
- The communities and platforms where they post and ask questions in public.
- Who isn't a fit 15 points
- Writing it down saves you from chasing the wrong leads.
Your input is scored in your browser. It's sent to us only when you ask for a share link or the report by email, and we don't store the text itself. A share link carries only the tool and the score.
