How it's scored
Six checks add up to 100. Your headline follows you into every comment, search result and invitation, usually cut to its first 60 or so characters.
- Says who you help 25 points
- "Helping [who] [do what]" or "for [who]" gives people a reason to follow; a job title alone doesn't.
- First 60 characters 20 points
- In comments and search only the start shows. It should carry who you help or a proof point, not just your title.
- Proof 15 points
- A number: customers, a result, years in the field.
- No fluff 15 points
- Self-labels like guru, ninja, visionary or thought leader cost points.
- Length 15 points
- LinkedIn allows 220 characters. Under 30 wastes the space.
- Easy to scan 10 points
- More than four parts split by bars reads as keyword soup; more than two emoji as noise.
Your input is scored in your browser. It's sent to us only when you ask for a share link or the report by email, and we don't store the text itself. A share link carries only the tool and the score.
